This center helps newly-established tech-companies to grow by providing residency around the university and other supporting services such as mentorship and facilitating access to venture capital. More than 280 companies have been admitted to the Incubator so far. Sharif Accelerator was founded in 2014 as the first university accelerator to support student startups with innovative ideas. The main services of the accelerator include providing a shared workplace, seed money, and mentorship. More than 90 startups have benefited from Sharif Accelerator services so far and many of them have succeeded in attracting venture capital. Technology Services Complex is part of a program which aims to support, gather and coordinate the university technology services offered to industry. The first phase of the complex was opened in January 2013 with the presence of the Science and Technology Vice-President. The second phase was launched with the support of the presidential deputy of science and technology in January 2013. Also, it helps research projects to succeed in attracting investment from funds and venture capital corporations inside or outside the university.
